Translations

Using FGIC will allow an automatic localization for your on boarded layers to all supported languages.
FGIC supports customers to manage their layers
localization with an embedded automatic translation engine

In this menu you will be able to manage the translation for your layers and your coded lists


Translate your layers

Here are the steps of how to modify the translation of your layers.

  1. Sign-in with your registered organization Translator user (check that link if you need to know How to Sign in)

  2. Click on Translations then select layers



  1. Here you will find listed all your layers where you can update and manage the translation of any layer



  1. Choose your reference language that your metadata will be translated from 



  1. Click the small arrow beside the layer that you want to manage its translation



  1. Your layer translation will be divided into two parts: Layers data and layer fields
    You can edit manually any translation by writing directly in the corresponding cell with the language that you want to translate to then click save







  1. After your manual modification (or any modifications) you will notice that this layer will be labeled with Updated which means that the translation on this layer has been modified


  1. You can reset back this layer to the original auto-translation by clicking on Reset


  1. Any modifications made to your data, for example a new field is added, can be automatically translated to all the languages that you want by selecting this field (row) and the languages that you want (column) then click on Auto Translate Selected




  1. You can Click cancel to discard changes





Translate coded list


Here are the steps of how to modify the translation of your coded list.

  1. Sign-in with your registered organization Translator user (check that link if you need to know How to Sign in)

  2. Click on Translations then select Coded lists



  1. Here you will find listed all your coded lists where you can update and manage the translation of any application

  2. Choose your reference language that your metadata will be translated from the drop-down menu

  3. Click the small arrow beside the coded list that you want to manage its translation



  4. Your coded list translation will be for the Metadata. You can edit manually any translation by writing directly in the corresponding cell with the language that you want to translate to then click save




  1. After your manual modification (or any modifications) you will notice that this coded list will be labeled with Updated which means that the translation on this coded list has been modified


  2. You can reset back this coded list to the original auto-translation by clicking on Reset (this will reset all the data) then click Yes in the pop-up message to confirm




  3. Any modifications made to your coded list, can be automatically translated to all the languages that you want by selecting the row corresponding to the changes and the column of the languages that you want then click on Auto Translate Selected
