When to subscribe as a contributor and a configurator ?

  1.  When you want to share or use your own data, and consume public and other layers to serve your own business.

So you can contribute with your own data for any purpose and manage it,
or subscribe as a configurator  which will allow you to easily and effectively manage your own data with the customizations and access permissions that you need,
or you can be both, a configurator and a contributor and have the full package of benefits and controls.
